The Lord is worthy. He is worthy of our best sacrifices. He is worthy of our highest praise. He is worthy of our most diligent efforts to grow in His service. He is worthy of the first-fruits of our time and energy. The Lord is worthy. With a new year come fresh opportunities and new challenges. Why not make 2008 a year of unprecedented growth in the service of your King? You can do it! The foundation of our plan for the year is Ephesians 4:11-16. Four key words lifted from Paul’s instructions form our backbone for practical progress: membership, maturity, ministry, and mission. Beginning with membership, each of those ideas will respectively form the focus of the four quarters of 2008. What’s our goal? GROWTH. Personal and congregational. How do we grow? We must be “equipped,” and that’s what this plan is all about. Will it take work? Absolutely. Will it be difficult? Undoubtedly. Will you eventually feel like giving up? Probably. But is He worthy? Most definitely.
