Class on Defeating Temptations
June 29, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

“Let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:12-13).
Each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from July through September, Jason Hardin is leading a study and discussion on recognizing, preparing for, and defeating temptation. This is an extremely practical study aimed at young and old, men and women. Temptation is everywhere and can cause all of us to fall if we are not careful to stand strong in the strength that God supplies.
You’re invited to bring a Bible, bring a friend, and join us in this relevant and practical study.
Bible classes for all ages are available each Wednesday evening.
We hope to see you this week at Laurel Canyon!
Wednesday Evening Bible Class

“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
Each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from July through September, Jason Budd, Devin Roush, Casey Rupp, and Eric Tustin are leading an adult Bible study on twelve different examples of great faith from the New Testament. The men and women we study together are models of “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). By meditating on their worthy examples, our own faith in the faithful God of the ages can be strengthened.
You’re invited to bring a Bible, bring a friend, and join us in this important and practical study.
Bible classes for all ages are available each Wednesday evening.

“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30-31).
Each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in 2010, Jason Hardin is leading an adult Bible study on The Life and Times of Jesus the Christ. We invite you to bring a Bible, bring a friend, and join us as we carefully study, draw inspiration from, and ultimately strive to model the greatest life ever lived.

The Laurel Canyon church of Christ is made up of individuals and families who believe that Bible learning builds better homes, equips children and adults for making better life choices, and establishes a meaningful relationship with God and with others who share a serious devotion to Him.
Every Sunday (9:45 a.m.) and Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) we are happy to offer Bible classes for all ages. These opportunities to learn about God and His Word begin in our Nursery Class for children as young as sixth months old and extend through Jr. High and High School to adults . Each of our classes is Bible-based and taught by enthusiastic teachers who love the Truth and care about their students. At Laurel Canyon, we’re working hard to build a quality Bible class program. We invite you to come and experience firsthand the great benefits that Bible-centered learning can offer you and your family.
