“The Path of Your Feet”

"Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil " (Proverbs 4:26-27).
Like a hiking trail, God has defined for each of us the way He would have us to go. While the pathway at times may appear to be overgrown with weeds, thistles and thorns, if we will take the time to carefully look, the pathway still exists, simply waiting for faithful followers.
Any hiker who wants to live to hike another day takes the time to think before he begins. He consciously makes an effort to look before he steps. He recognizes that traveling off the "beaten pathway" may very well lead to danger.
So also, God has placed periodic warning signs for each of us as we make our way throughout life. Here is the sign we have come upon today: "Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. " Throughout the day, make a conscious effort to…
- …think before you speak.
- …think before you step.
- …think before you act.
- …think before you commit.
Do that, and you will find a sure way for your feet.
