A
Concluding Emphasis On Membership

How
hard is it to believe that the first quarter of 2008 has come and
nearly gone? I hope you’ve profited from the foundation we’ve been
trying to lay as a spiritual family for the rest of this year. That
foundation is a
greater sense of membership, and it’s the logical
place for us to begin building. If we are not truly members one of
another (Romans 12:5), what difference will our future
efforts toward congregational growth make?
With that in mind, let’s dedicate ourselves to making this last week
of the quarter a week of prayer, compassion, and diligence. From our
35 Days To A Greater Sense Of Membership sheets:
* Sunday – Speak to someone in our assembly with whom you’ve never
spoken before.
* Monday – Pray for every person or family listed in yesterday’s
bulletin.
* Tuesday – Send a card to, e-mail, or call a member of our body who
is spiritually weak.
* Wednesday –Come to Bible class at 7:00 with the goal of encouraging
and being encouraged.
* Thursday – Send an e-mail of encouragement to Rosemary
Aburu.
* Friday – Invite someone at some point this weekend to visit one of
our assemblies.
* Saturday – Pray for our upcoming Gospel Meeting with Gary Henry (April
27-30).
Do
what you can this week to make a difference for our local family and
the broader kingdom of God . If the Lord wills, having laid our
foundation, we will move on in our focus for the second quarter of
2008 with the goal of
growing in our level of spiritual maturity. To
God be the glory!
