Spiritual Building Blocks For All Ages

The Laurel Canyon church of Christ is made up of individuals and families who believe that Bible learning builds better homes, equips children and adults for making better life choices, and establishes a meaningful relationship with God and with others who share a serious devotion to Him.

Every Sunday (9:45 a.m.) and Wednesday (7:00 p.m.), we are happy to offer Bible classes for all ages. These opportunities to learn about God and His Word begin in our Nursery Class for children as young as sixth months old and extend through Jr. High and High School to adults. Each of our classes is Bible-based and taught by enthusiastic teachers who love the Truth and care about their students. At Laurel Canyon, we’re working hard to build a quality Bible class program. † Children’s Curriculum: Our Spiritual Heritage

The goal for each of our children’s classes is to help young students develop a solid overview of God and the Bible so that as they mature, they are able to make everyday applications of God’s commandments. Each age group meets in a different classroom, all studying at an age-appropriate level. Every three months, a new trait of God is taught by looking at the Bible stories where God demonstrates a specific characteristic such as Wisdom, Power or Love. These classes are all very interactive for the students and focus on building their understanding of the Bible’s people, events, and locations. † Jr. High & High School Curriculum: Get Them Talking

Our pre-teen and teenage classes guide students through important conversations about God, His commandments, and how to make personal applications of the Bible in everyday life. They cover everything from how to be saved by Jesus Christ to God’s wisdom for daily challenges such as dating, drugs, and family relationships. The Get Them Talking series empowers our teachers to open discussions where students feel comfortable to ask questions because they know they will get an honest answer from the Bible. † Adult Classes: Textual & Topical Studies

Our adult classes at Laurel Canyon cover a variety of book-by-book studies of the Bible, as well as real-life topics for everyday struggles. Whether our teachers are leading a study of a specific text or a general theme, our classes are always built around understanding and applying God’s Word. These studies provide an excellent opportunity for adults to interact with and encourage each other in service to God and others at home, on the job, and in the community.
