Jesus lays out the truth in the scriptures because he loves us.  However, it is amazing how hard out hearts can be when responding to Him.,  This lesson is designed to provoke us to look deep into our hearts to ensure we are able to embrace the truth of the Gospel for just what it is, the power to save one's sould.  May God help us to always be on guard for the tricks of the devil, like apathy, ofences, temper and the pride that would keep us from receiving with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
