Do You Want to Make a Difference in 2016? Here’s One Way You Can.

“Church” is not simply somewhere we go on Sundays. It’s who we are. We’re a body with many members (1 Cor 12:12-13). We’re a family (Eph 2:19), brothers and sisters in Christ who care for one another (1 Cor 12:25). This “one another” aspect of our identity is made clear in Philippians 2:4 where we are called to “look not only to [our] own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

Sometimes we know we SHOULD work to make a difference in the lives of other people, but we’re not sure HOW to go about doing it. Do you want to make a difference in the lives of other people in 2016? Are you determined to answer the Spirit’s call to look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others? Our weekly Care Groups are one way you can do just that.

After each of our Sunday evening assemblies, we have the opportunity to focus on the needs and challenges of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We have the great opportunity to reach out to those men and women who visited one of our assemblies. Each Care Group meeting presents practical ways you can have a small impact for God in someone else’s life.

If you haven’t been in the habit of joining your respective Care Group on its assigned week, please take up this new challenge for 2016. Let’s all plan on playing an active role in encouragement and accountability throughout this new year.
