Salvation is the single most important event of any human life.  Without salvation, we can have no eternal life with God.  With it, we can receive that life as an inheritance, provided that we remain faithful to commitment we made when we were saved.

When first we come to the Lord, our minds are afire with the thought of salvation.  We constantly rejoice in the deliverance that God has worked in us.  However, as time passes, the excitement of slavation fades, and, just like anything else we have for a long time, we begin to take salvation for granted.
