Jesus siad, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let jim deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" (Mark 8.34).  Self-denial is one of the basic attributes of Christianity.  Yet, it is one of the most difficult to attain.  One reason for that is ecause it requires great strength of will.
