Series: Day by Day in the Letter of James

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to be a praying people.

1. Our Lord modeled devotion to prayer (Luke 11:1).
2. He instructed that his disciples ought always to pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1).
3. The earliest Christians devoted themselves to prayer (Acts 2:42).
4. Paul encouraged the next generation of Christians to pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17).

James also drew our attention to prayer near the beginning of his letter (1:2-8) and returns to the topic before drawing his letter to a close.
