Baptism: A Funeral, a Birth, an Adoption & a Wedding

What is baptism? We understand that to baptize is to dip, immerse, submerge, plunge, or overwhelm. We understand that the action is depicted in Mark 1:9-10, Acts 8:36-39, and Romans 6:3-4.

But what is God doing, what is a man or woman doing by faith when they are baptized “in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of” their “sins” (Acts 2:38)?
