The Providence of God

We live in a world that was created by an awuesome God.  He knows and can do all thinigs - both what we can comprehend, and that which we cannot.  Yet, He has set the universe, as we know it, i motion and allows it to continue.  He allows us to make choices and reap consequences, while He looks for us to see and follow after Him.  (Acts 17:24-28)  How does He work in our lives today?  Why do things sometimes happen that are difficult or tragic?  How can a child of God work know the difference of where God is specifically working and where life is simple taking its course?
