James Died and Peter Lived

In Acts 12:1-12, we read the account of two apostles that faced the violent hands of King Herod.  One died and the other was freed.  That might lead us to ask the question:  why did God let an apostle be put to death?  Let's draw some lessons from this account about our first century brethren.

1. Nobody lives on ______________ forever.
2. The blessing of Christianity is eternal ______________ , not a long full life.
3. ______________  continually.
4. Our circumstances are ______________  indications of God's approval or disapproval.
5. We must weep with those who weep even when I have cause to rejoice.  And I must rejoice with those who rejoice even when I have cause to weep.
